Hi,
I have decided to build a clavichord. I just purchased the Christian
Gottlob Hubert 1784 clavichord (TD14) technical drawings from the Friends
of St Cecilia's Hall & Museum (
http://www.homepages.ed.ac.uk/am/ezh...blications.htm
<http://www.homepages.ed.ac.uk/am/ezhm01//friends/publications.htm> ).

Having built various pieces of furniture and I have also build a viola many
years ago I consider myself a capable woodworker. Most of the necessary
woodworking doesn't appear be too difficult. But I am concerned about about
a few of particularities/specifics of building a clavichord.

I have seen a few books on the net for harpsichords but not clavichords. I
have found a few blogs on building clavichords:

dustyfeet.com/mykeyboardbaby1.html
renaissance-keyboards.blogspot.com
tabulatura.com/clavcho.htm
www.hubharp.com/glossary.htm
http://www.claviantica.com/Publicati...troduction.htm
<http://www.claviantica.com/Publications_files/Pisaurensis_clavichord_files/Pisaurensis_Introduction_files/Introduction.htm>

Are there any good/complete how-to books on clavichord building?

Regards,

Phil
