Thanks, Davitt, for yet another wonderful essay! Your contributions to HPSCHD-L are among our greatest treasures. 

There is a fascinating article on Louis' keyboard music by Glen Wilson, about to be published in Early Keyboard Journal, which raises very interesting questions about the authorship of this music! Reading an advance copy, I find the arguments quite compelling. I suspect Dr. Moroney will have much to say about these conjectures. 

By the way, if you are interested in reading this (as well as other important early keyboard scholarly articles and reviews) you can receive this issue as soon as it becomes available by joining many of your colleagues in the Historical Keyboard Society of North America. Go to www.historicalkeyboardsociety.org for details. Membership is quite reasonable and the Journal is a free benefit of membership.
