My wife and I were fortunate enough to be in Bologna last year.
In San Petronio, a huge church with a 12-second reverberation time,
and organs from 1475 and 1531 we heard Luigi Tagliavini and Liuwe
Tamminga playing duets and solo pieces, some with Bruce Dickey and
Doron Sherwin, cornetti.
This is one of the pieces that was played (although this recording is
of a different performance). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o0Zb5e7LoX8
We then visited a chapel which had just been restored and which
contained Tagliavini's collection of instruments.
He is a great loss to early music, but he has left a huge legacy for us.
