that is nonsense.
Gall (or Nschsberger) 1805 decribes exactly how to do it and is 
specific that it NOT equal beating; the beat rate increases as you go 
up. He calls thius the "new temperament". th e"old one is 1/4c. MT and 
he is very specific about that as well. He also comments tha tmany do 
not lik,e the "new temperament" because of the bad thirds.
