  Hello all,

For those who can't make the trip to Italy (I would, except that I have
come to detest airplanes), here is some consolation:

A CD, "Luigi Ferdinando Tagliavini and His Collection of Harpsichords" ,
Ermitage ERM 427, amazingly still available on Amazon. The signor plays
10 composers (incl. Anon.) on 7 antique instruments. The sound &
acoustic is quite good (apparently recorded at his home). Presumably
these are some of the same instruments at San Colombano?

Also, Kottick & Lucktenberg's book (Early Keyboard Instruments in
European Museums) doesn't mention that collection, but does describe
several others.
The book is still also available on Amazon.

Kudos to this listserv! It makes this early keyboard fan not feel like
he is on a desert island.
