Not to be missed is the upcoming Desert Baroque weekend, “The Suite Life,” January 20-22, 2017, in the fabulous Palm Springs, CA area. In addition to the three concerts: Gilbert Martinez, solo harpsichord; “The More the Merrier”, J.S. Bach’s Concerti for 2, 3 and 4 harpsichords, and “From Baroque to Beyond” with Elaine Funaro bringing the joy of contemporary harpsichord music to the stage, you may also participate in the workshop/class sessions every day. These three-hour-long sessions will be devoted to: 1) Allemande and Courante, 2) Sarabande and Gigue and 3) miscellaneous dance movements. Sonia Lee, Webb Wiggins, Charles Metz and I (Margaret Irwin-Brandon) will take you on this journey as we progress through the Coachella Valley from Palm Springs to Palm Desert and finally to Desert Hot Springs. Check out all the details at www.desertbaroque.com <http://www.desertbaroque.com/>. We welcome you here!
