FWIW, especially for those who are familiar with Zuckermann Italian harpsichords. In the Italian piece listed in the "Soundfiles" of http://dominiceckersley.com can be heard a Zn that has the lighter historical Italian stringing schedule that I had mentioned a while back. The reduced transient emphasis of the notes along with the increased sustain and resonance of the box, contrary to the typical 20th century description of "Italian harpsichord sound", might make it apparent why I described it as more of a "metal-strung lute sound".

Best,

Paul
