white paper, especially,r is processed with chlorine, and many colored papers are bleached with chlorine before dying. I cannot recommend storing any metal in it.
I use zippered plastic bags with as much air squeezed out as possible and have no problems, whereas coils I have inherited that were stored in paper whether brass or steel have corrosion pits on them.
