I'm very sorry to hear this.
Kenneth Gilbert's playing of D'Anglebert's Gaillarde et Double and Chaconne
du Vieux Gautier (you wrote the liner notes for that album) have not been
surpassed to my ears.
I am very privileged to have heard him play at the Wilhelma Theatre in
Stuttgart decades ago. It was magical.

I included Tagliavini specifically among the living, but he is, I think, no
longer particularly active as a player. But yes, wonderful man that he is,
he is still very much alive, in a well deserved retirement!
Kenneth Gilbert is also still alive, but unfortunately not in good health
now, and certainly no longer playing.
