There are a lot of harpsichords I don't like the sound of, particularly
from the '70. Either thin and wirey with no fundimental or very harsh, sort
of spit at you. I don't want to name examples. With my own instruments I
aim for a smooth sweet sound with good fundimental. At the begining a new
instrument may sound a bit harsh but will mellow out in time. If people
want I will list recordings I like. BTW if I could raise the money I
wouldn't mind a Yamaha C7.
