Lovely Chris thanks!! This is the jazz-era equivalent of a harpsichord with
a split-buff, buff in both 8' choirs, two rows of jacks acting on the same
8' at different plucking points, 16', 4' and 2' choirs, stop-changing pedals
and expression swells. These features are all historical, and having most of
these gadgets on the same instrument is also historical, providing lots of
"fun with harpsichords". A bit of the Landowska ideal, I guess ...

Of course, the difference arises when we wish to play harpsichord-era
masterpieces: at this point most of us will prefer a Flemish single for
this, an Italian single for that, a classical French there ...

Have a nice Sunday.
