Welcome back!
We would like to take a moment to announce a very exciting change that took place of the summer: ICRU is now OUR!
Our name has changed and we are now the Office of Undergraduate Research. The email has also been updated to [log in to unmask], so please take a moment to update your email contacts.
We are very excited about this change and can’t wait to continue our mission to promote undergraduate involvement in research and creative projects at the University of Iowa.
We will be revamping our "Update" emails but we wanted to make sure everyone is up to date on our name change and what is happening the first few weeks of the semester!

§ Who is eligible to present? Any undergraduate student actively involved in a research project on the UI campus this summer. The student may be part of a formal summer undergraduate research program. Alternatively, the student may be pursuing an individual project with a UI faculty member over the summer. All are welcome and encouraged to present their work.
**For those of you considering getting involved in research, attending these events is a great way to see what kind of research undergraduate students are participating in.

The Iowa Center for Research by Undergraduates (ICRU) solicits applications for the following spring research events and awards:
1) Research in the Capitol, March 25, 2010 in the Iowa Statehouse, Des Moines. Students from the UI, ISU, and UNI share their research with state officials and Regents through poster presentations. This year’s theme is research benefiting the state of Iowa. Twenty undergraduates will be selected to represent the UI. Applications due February 17, 2010.
